So, a weird thing happened to me on the way to the job search…

I feel like that’s how this story should start out, anyway!  Last week, I got a call from the administrator of a local nursing home facility that I did two interviews with last month.  It was down to me and one other woman and she chose the other woman.  I was over it.  Done.  I would have really liked the position, but it didn’t work out, so I moved on.

So, she calls me last week and tells me that the other woman didn’t work out.  Okay…  And she wants to offer me the position, if I’m still interested.  (uh…yeah…)  So, she tells me all about the job–salary, benefits, etc. and asks if I want it.  I’ll have to discuss it with the hubby, but sure.

So, I call/email everyone I know to tell them of the exciting development.  Happy Day!  I got a job!

Two hours later, she calls me back & says she was “uncomfortable” with our interaction and we’d better just call it “done”.

WHAT???????

This was just the weirdest thing that has happened to me EVER…okay, recently.  Well, I was just glad that I found out that she was like this BEFORE I took the job!  God was looking out for me!  I really dodged a bullet this time!
